Speaking from the NSW Parliament, The Nationals Member for Burrinjuck, Katrina Hodgkinson, said she was absolutely delighted that Crookwell identity, Beatrice Williams, was honoured as the Burrinjuck Woman of the Year as part of the celebrations of International Women’s Day.
Beatrice Williams was nominated for a lifetime of service to the community of the Upper Lachlan Shire including participation in many local community groups.

Katrina launches innovative tourism Gold Trail Website |

The Nationals Member for Burrinjuck, Katrina Hodgkinson, today launched the new Gold Trails website – www.goldtrails.com.au – which tells the story of the State’s gold rush history from 1851 into the 20th century and promotes historical attractions of the region at Blackguard outside of Young. Katrina also unveiled interpretative signage for the Gold Trails.
Katrina, representing the Minister for Tourism and Major Events, George Souris MP, said the NSW Government was proud to support this new tourism product for the region.

The Nationals Member for Burrinjuck, Katrina Hodgkinson, has written to the Society of St Vincent de Paul, Canberra Goulburn, asking that they delay the closure of the Boorowa Vinnies Op Shop scheduled for 15 March.
"The news that Boorowa's Vinnies is to close in less than two weeks time has only recently become known within the community and has upset many people," Katrina said.

A succession planner with skills in law, business and psychology has been awarded the State’s top honour for rural women by the Minister for Primary Industries Katrina Hodgkinson.
Isobel Knight, from Loomberah near Tamworth, edged out Vivien Thomson AFSM (Australian Fire Service Medal), from Muttama in the Riverina, to win the 2013 NSW-ACT Rural Industries Research & Development Corporation (RIRDC) Rural Women’s Award.
