The Nationals Member for Burrinjuck, Katrina Hodgkinson, announced today that Bigga Public School, Jugiong Public School and Murrumburrah High School will receive additional maintenance funding this year.
“The NSW Department of Education has made efficiency savings from their budget, which means an extra $10 million can now be allocated to schools across NSW as additional maintenance funding,” Katrina said.

Katrina warns horse owners about "Strangles" |

The Nationals Member for Burrinjuck and Minister for Primary Industries, Katrina Hodgkinson, is urging local horse owners to ensure their horses’ immunisations are up to date due to outbreaks of the contagious disease ‘Strangles’ in 20 locations across NSW and the ACT.
“Although Strangles is a contagious bacterial disease it can’t be passed on to humans and most cases in horses are not severe,” Katrina said.

Katrina announces completion of new boating facilities at Yass Dam |

The Nationals Member for Burrinjuck, Katrina Hodgkinson, has announced completion of new boating facilities at the Burrai Place boat ramp at Yass Dam.
“The work to increase the capacity of Yass’ water storage by raising the wall of the dam meant that access facilities for recreational anglers and other water users needed to be upgraded,” Katrina said.

Katrina says Workcover reform results good for Small Business |

The Nationals Member for Burrinjuck and Minister for Small Business, Katrina Hodgkinson, has spoken in Parliament of the 167,000 businesses that will benefit from an average reduction to WorkCover premiums of 7.5 per cent, which is good news for small business, particularly in regional NSW.
“WorkCover premiums will drop by up to 15 percent, with a Statewide average reduction of 7.5 percent, equating to a saving of more than $200 million a year for businesses,” Katrina said.
