Minister for Primary Industries Katrina Hodgkinson has praised NSW farmers for their hard work and determination to deliver a stunning display of agricultural produce for the District Exhibits at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
Ms Hodgkinson presented the District Exhibits Perpetual Trophy to the Central District team today, commending District Court Captain Robert Thomson for the theme ‘Good food, grown locally, feeding the world’.

Taskforce formed to lead on-water reform |

Minister for Roads and Ports Duncan Gay today announced the start of a two year strategy to reform NSW Government on-water compliance operations.
Mr Gay said the new Marine Compliance Taskforce will coordinate the on-water activities of agencies including Roads and Maritime Services, Fisheries NSW, the NSW Police Force, the NSW Environment Protection Authority and the Marine Estate Management Authority.

Minister for Primary Industries Katrina Hodgkinson said the talent on display at the Sydney Royal Easter Show confirms that the future of agriculture in NSW is bright.
Ms Hodgkinson congratulated the winner of the NSW Young Auctioneer competition Michael Easey from Maitland, and winner of the National competition Joseph Wilks from Wagga Wagga, staged by the Australian Livestock & Property Agents Association, on the first day of the 2013 Show.

Minister for Primary Industries Katrina Hodgkinson and local member for Vaucluse Gabrielle Upton today launched Fish Friendly Marinas, a new initiative to improve fish habitats at NSW marinas.
“Fish Friendly Marinas has been developed to inform marina managers on how to maximise the benefits for native fish and recognise those operators actively working to improve fish habitats,” Ms Hodgkinson said.
