The NSW Government has approved projects to a value of $12 million in the first round under the $83 million ‘Sustaining the Basin: Irrigated Farm Modernisation Project’.
Minister for Primary Industries, Katrina Hodgkinson said 32 irrigators will receive funding for on-farm projects across the Macquarie, Namoi, Peel, Gwydir and Border Rivers regions.

The Nationals Member for Burrinjuck, Katrina Hodgkinson, announced today that more residents in the Burrinjuck electorate may be eligible to receive an electricity rebate following the NSW Government’s extension of the Low Income Household Rebate to people living in retirement villages.
“The NSW Government has increased the funding to the Low Income Household Rebate by an additional $16 million which will for the first time be available to residents of retirement villages, such as Linton Retirement Village in Yass, Southern Cross in Young, Wattlegrove in Cootamundra, Cowra Retirement Village and Burrowa House in Boorowa,” Katrina said.

Katrina announces State Government action to reduce Preschool Fees |

The Nationals Member for Burrinjuck, Katrina Hodgkinson, said today that preschool fees for 4 and 5-year olds will soon be more affordable for families as a result of an immediate injection of $20 million into preschools by the NSW Government.
“The Government will also establish a $5 million capital works fund to ease preschool supply and access issues in targeted areas around the State,” Katrina said.

“The recent closure of Windsor Farm Foods and the prospective loss of up to 70 jobs is a terrible blow for the community of Cowra.
“This closure will have a much more significant and wider flow on effect on the Cowra region than only the loss of these jobs.
